The Easter Celebration Concert organised by All Petaling Jaya Residents Association Coalition, Christian Federation of Malaysia and Councillors of MBPJ yesterday was a great shame. It was heavily publicized to start at 7.30pm, in fact some of the audience came as early as 6.30pm and by 7.00pm, they were ushered in. But it did not even start after 8.20pm. That was close to an hour late!! That's never acceptable in any situation.
When complaint were raised, the audience were told that the actual schedule was that 7.30 - 8.00pm was refreshment, and concert would actually start at 8.00pm. If there's was a refreshment from 7.30 - 8.00pm, then please state it out clearly. Why is it so difficult on being precise and punctual?
Organiser, pls take a clear look at the banner on the stage, the front page of the yellow brochure and the newspaper writing. Nowhere was it mentioned that it will start at 8.00pm, but clearly stated that the starting time at 7.30pm.
I'm not sure if the delay was due to the so-called VVIP coming late. If so, please next time get them in earlier. If they're still not there, just start and let them come in late -- then they will begin to appreciate to come earlier in future events. VVIP should lead by example.
It is not difficult to be precise and punctual. The organiser needs to be transparent and punctual.
